Grand Harbour Tour (Dghajsa)
A 45-minute multi-lingual, audio- guided tour around the Grand Harbour by the traditional Maltese Dghajsa.
Certainly the most adventurous of our tours, exploring Grand Harbour by the traditional Maltese Dghajsa (pronounced "daysa" and similar to a Gondola), is an absolute joy. Throughout history most activities in Malta centred around the Grand Harbour.
Our tour begins and ends at Pinto Wharf at the Valletta Waterfront which is Malta¹s cruise passenger terminal. Pinto Wharf houses the beautifully refurbished buildings which were originally the stores and warehouses of the Knights of Saint John. The tour takes you around one of the world's greatest natural harbours and explains the rich and colourful history of Malta through the ages, covering places like Fort St Elmo, the Three Cities, Fort Sant Angelo and Valletta itself.
The boat ride lasts 45 minutes and free audio guides are available in Maltese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Kings, queens, emperors, heads of state, cardinals and bishops, amongst many other dignitaries, have climbed aboard the Maltese dghajsa. Why not you? Book Now!
